I received my PhD in Sociology with a minor in Feminist Studies from the
University of Minnesota in September 2008, under the guidance of Professor
Elizabeth Heger Boyle. My teaching and research interests include gender,
inequality, globalization, medicine and health, reproduction, communities, and
diversity issues. I have experience in research, teaching, professional, and
